Christmas Delight For Adopted Kids

George Best Belfast City Airport has announced that funding from its Community Fund has aided the Energy for Children Charitable Trust in making it possible for Adoption UK (NI) to take 80 adopted children to see the fantastic pantomime Cinderella.
Adoption UK (NI) was set up to help adopted children who require help and support both before and after adoption. That support can be via support groups, a helpline, the online community, contact with other adoptive families or by offering training programmes.
Part of this support is also to provide a totally relaxed environment where children and families can get together and have fun, and with this in mind, they applied for – and received - funding to take adoptive families to enjoy Cinderella.
The Energy for Children Charitable Trust was set up by Phoenix Natural Gas but is now supported by a variety of local organisations – including George Best Belfast City Airport.
Rhona Rowan from George Best Belfast City Airport reflected:
“This is the latest initiative the airport has helped fund through its Community Fund and we will be continuing to seek projects that will assist the wider community that the airport serves”.
To date the Energy for Children Charitable Trust has helped over 3,000 needy children and is continuing each month to provide further funding for projects throughout Greater Belfast.
