FREE connection to a natural gas meter worth up to £750
This offer is available to all customers regardless as to whether they avail of any other incentive offer. The ‘FREE CONNECTION to a Phoenix Natural Gas Meter’ Offer is only available for the first connection to a domestic property. Phoenix Natural Gas will arrange to connect the property to the natural gas network and install a meter, currently worth up to £750.
1. In these Conditions the expression “this Offer” means the ‘Free Connection to a Phoenix Natural Gas Meter’; “Qualifying Property” means a privately owned and owner occupied domestic dwelling where the curtilage of the property is not more than 50m from the nearest connectable main; “Phoenix” means Phoenix Natural Gas Limited, having its Registered Office at 197 Airport Road West, Belfast BT3 9ED.
2. Phoenix Natural Gas will arrange to supply and install a meter to a Qualifying Property where the owner-occupier signs a ‘Phoenix’ Gas Connection Agreement. The final meter and service connection date is detailed under the specific offer.
3. For the connection to be free the gas supply (connection) must be the first installed at this property and located no further than 50m from the nearest connectable main or greater than 2m along the gable wall of the property. In all instances the location of the meter within each QualifyingProperty and the application of any charges will be determined by Phoenix Natural Gas.
4. Where Phoenix Natural Gas are asked to connect flatted properties or those on ‘private/unadopted’ roads it will be necessary for the customer to provide Phoenix Natural Gas with a Wayleave agreement, prior to the start of construction.
Standard Terms & Conditions (For All Schemes)
5. The offers only apply to privately owned and occupied domestic dwellings within the area in which natural gas is currently available and within which Phoenix Natural Gas is licensed (pursuant to the Gas Order (NI) 1996) to supply natural gas.
6. These offers do not apply to:-
a. Properties that already have a natural gas supply (connection) whether or not natural gas is actually consumed at the property.
b. Any new build or existing properties undergoing an extension or renovation by a builder.
c. Any customer eligible for grant assistance of any kind (usually available from a Governmental direct or sponsored organisation or charity) for the installation of any gas appliance or central heating system.
d. Public or private rental properties.
e. Installations carried out by an installer who is not registered with Phoenix Natural Gas to offer these incentives. (Installers listed on the Phoenix Natural Gas website are registered). Ask your installer to confirm whether he is registered and can offer the incentive.
f. Existing central heating boiler conversions from LPG to natural gas, unless the boiler is already SEDBUK A rated.
7. Phoenix Natural Gas may at its absolute discretion:-
a. Withdraw or amend these offers at any time without prior notice or redress.
b. Vary the eligibility terms and conditions.
c. Reduce or extend the time limit for the completion of the installation of the specified appliance or central heating system to qualify for these offers.
8. Phoenix Natural Gas recommends that customers get at least three competitive quotations from different Gas Safe registered installers.
9. Customers will be able claim the listed incentives only if they employ a Gas Safe registered company who is also registered with ‘Phoenix’ to offer the incentives detailed in the Spring/Summer 2011 brochure.
10. ‘Phoenix’ will not accept liability for any equipment installed or quality of work performed by any installer. Any agreement made, even with regards the acceptance of this ‘offer’ is between the customer and their installer, including any financial transactions.
11. The technical specification for a qualifying central heating install is listed on page 6 of the Phoenix Spring/Summer 2011 Incentive Booklet.
Spring/Summer Cash Back offer - £200
This offer is open to domestic property owner occupiers with no heating or an existing central heating system fuelled by LPG, oil, solid fuel or electricity (storage heaters) who install an A rated high efficiency natural gas condensing boiler and full controls upgrade, where appropriate.
The £200 Spring/Summer 2011 cash back Offer is also available if you install or convert (from LPG to natural gas) an appliance instead of natural gas central heating.
12. In these Conditions the “Offer” means the Spring/Summer 2011 cash back Offer whereby the customer will receive one (total) payment of up to £200. The cash back will be paid against the gross price of the natural gas central heating or appliance installation; and “Phoenix” means Phoenix Natural Gas Limited.
13. To qualify for the ‘Offer’ claimants must request a connection to the Phoenix Natural Gas network between April 4th 2011 and September 30th 2011.
14. To obtain the Spring/Summer 2011 cash back Offer;
a. The installer must invoice the customer for the full (gross) cost of the heating or appliance installation.
b. Once the customer has paid the installer in full they should complete the Customer Claim form on page 11 of the Spring/Summer 2011 Incentive Booklet and forward it to Phoenix Natural Gas for settlement.
c. The claimant must also attach a copy of the retailer’s and installer’s final receipted invoice and this must be received by ‘Phoenix’ within 180 days of the actual meter install date. Claims received later than 180 days after the meter installation will not be processed.
15. This offer can be used with the ‘Free Connection to a Natural Gas Meter’ but cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer made available by Phoenix.
Flexible Payment Scheme
Terms & Conditions
16. The ‘Flexible Payment Scheme’ is only available for customers installing natural gas central heating who take advantage of the ‘Standard Spring/Summer 2011’ cash back offers.
17. The ‘Flexible Payment Scheme’ must be agreed with an installer who is registered with ‘Phoenix’ to offer the ‘Flexible Payment Scheme’.
18. ‘Buy Now, Pay Later’ is available to persons aged 18 and over subject to status. A full credit check will be undertaken. No deposit required.
19. Typical Example. Cash Price £2,400, no deposit. Settle the loan in full by paying a first instalment of £126.45 followed by 58 monthly instalments of £51.45 and a final installment of 126.45. Total amount payable £3,237.00. Typical 13.27% APR.
