Phoenix Natural Gas has been helping local athletes reach their potential for a number of years through the Phoenix Sports Bursary Awards and take great pride in supporting our local sporting talent, many of whom have went on to enjoy national and international recognition over a range of sporting disciplines, many of which are not mainstream sports.
With the costs of training, travel and competition being a barrier for the development of athletic talent locally, the Phoenix Sports Bursary Awards were created to provide funding to aspiring sports stars to help reduce financial barriers to their development and enabling them to focus on reaching their sporting goals.
Each year we make a minimum of 3 Sports Bursary Awards to local athletes across a range of different sporting disciplines. Applicants must be competing at regional or national level, or have the potential to do so.
