The funds were raised from the company’s recent first birthday celebrations, which saw a cupcake sale raise £674 for the charity. An additional £500 was raised from raffle sales as part of a corporate Golf Day at nearby Shandon Golf Club.
Geri Wright, Charity Liaison Officer for the Energy for Children Charity, said, "The Energy for Children Charitable Trust has helped over 6,000 local disadvantaged children since it was established in 2005. All money raised will go towards helping even more local disadvantaged children and I would like to thank Plumbmaster for raising such a fantastic sum of money.
"The Energy for Children Charity was founded by the Northern Ireland natural gas industry and is now supported by a variety of different sectors and organisations locally as it continues to grow. Plumbmaster has been a long-standing supporter of the charity and we thank the team for continuing to support our charity through events such as these.”
