Phoenix Natural Gas Fuels Christmas Cheer

Phoenix Natural Gas has been spreading ‘Christmas Cheer’ across East Down this month with the donation of 1,000 festive selection boxes to schools and community groups in the area.

Recognising that the run up to Christmas this year has been very different for families and children, Jonathan Martindale, Director of Business Development at Phoenix Natural Gas explains the company wanted to provide some festive treats for children and families, he explains:

“This year has been difficult for so children and families, with nativity plays and carol concerts taking place virtually or in class bubbles and with many parents feeling the financial impact of furlough, we wanted to spread some festive cheer by providing selection boxes for 1,000 local children and families.

“We were delighted to bring some smiles to the children in the local primary schools and help boost the food packs for Unit T in Newcastle with this activity and would like to take this opportunity to extend our warmest wishes for a happy and healthy Christmas to families right across the Phoenix Natural Gas licence area.”

The Phoenix Natural Gas supported selection boxes were welcomed by Unit T in Newcastle for inclusion in their family support packs as well as by the children at St Brigid’s, St Colmcille’s, Our Lady & St Patrick’s Downpatrick and St Patrick’s Primary School, Legamaddy.
